Suzy sighed as she drew open the makeshift curtains from the large, broken, window, revealing the dreary scene outside, the early morning air hitting her in the face. To be honest, the only reason she even knew it was morning was because the air held a dewy moisture to it that didn’t appear in any other time of day. She wondered why she even cared about things like that at this point, it was so trivial. But she supposed that’s what’s kept her sane for so long. She’s been fighting so hard for normalcy that she doesn’t have time to go crazy. Suzy slowly sauntered away from the window and sat on an old couch in the corner of the room, with her journal in one hand and her pen in the other. She had wanted to leave this place days ago, but something in her body kept telling her no. Something is willing her. pulling her. to stay here. Something is sitting in her stomach like a rock, telling her to wait it out a few more days and she never ignores her instinct so she does as she’s told but hopes it’s worth it. Until the feeling lifts, she continues to sit on that couch, in comfortable silence and write in that journal, perhaps humming a little to herself as the day wears on into night once again..
Luhan decided to wander around the city, in search of the living. Cautiously, he made his way down the neighborhood street. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed movement from a seemingly abandoned house. Luhan quickly crossed the street and drew his gun from its holster as he peered through the window. A female figure sat on the couch and Luhan figured she didn’t look.. well, dead. He sighed out of relief, but just as he was about to knock on her window, a loud growling knocked him out of his short peace. He turned, quickly shooting the zombie that was an arm’s reach from him. His eyes widened as he noticed the horde coming down the road. Luhan took a deep breath and slammed his body against the side of the house, forcing his way through the wall. Staring straight at the stranger, he whispered, “We need to get out of here.”
